The Sinclair ZX80

This computer was introduced in 1980 and cost just under £100

It had 1 KB of static RAM and 4 KB ROM.

It ran off a 9 volt power supply and had to be connected to a television screen and a tape recorder which stored the programs, but you had to write a program first to enable the computer to do this using the BASIC language. Each program was identified on the tape by recording its name verbally on the tape. It could do some interesting arithmetic.

There was no way of printing the results.
