PHOTOGRAPHY

Cameras
Nearly all cameras before about 1995 used light sensitive film which required developing and prints could only be produced on light-sensitive paper, both of which were processed in a dark room with wet chemicals. It took several hours to get a print from an event to the post, or to a 'wire' which transmitted the image down a phone line.
Now almost anyone can send an image to anywhere in the world within seconds of taking the photograph.
