Criban Victor

The Head of Criban Victor (reference no 1775) This Welsh Pony stallion was born in 1944 and survived until his 29th year in 1973. He was bred by H.W.Richards and Sons, sold to the Downland Stud, won the Section B stallion class at the Royal Welsh Show in 1947, and was purchased for Lord Kenyon's Gredington Stud where he stayed for the rest of his life. He won many prizes including the Reserve Supreme Champion in the 1969 North Wales Association Show. He was included in the series of stamps depicting horses produced by the Post Office in 1978. The head was stuffed for Lord Kenyon who gave it to the Welsh Pony and Cob Society.
