FARMER'S MARKETS AND FARM SALES

exhibition number: Agriculture 25

Some farmers had little cash available except when they sold some of their produce. Farmer's wives had pocket money from selling eggs, butter and milk, and it is said that a farmer might steal some of his own eggs to sell, to have cash to buy a drink.
