CORN GRINDER

Corn Grinder

exhibition number: Agriculture 11.1

Made by Henry Bamford and Sons. Purchased at the Royal Welsh Show, Aberystwyth in the 1930s. It was used by the owner to grind grain for flour and to prepare oats and other grain for animal fodder. It has a meal sifter which separated the fine flour from the coarse. After the Second World War growing of grain for animal fodder became uneconomic because of Government Subsidies. Machines like this soon became redundant.
